Police responding to a man violating a protective order had just arrived when Guadalupe Aguilar attacked his ex-wife with a large butcher knife in the breezeway outside her home. Aguilar then lunged at one of the officers with the knife. The officer shot an killed him. The ex-wife suffered minor injuries.
