Gray Bell was armed with a weapon when he was detained by Georgia Tech Police officers and Georgia State Patrol officers around 3 p.m. Bell tried to leave but was boxed in by a GSP patrol car. As officers approached Bell, he got out of his car, pulled out a gun and loaded a round. Officers from the Atlanta Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol shot and killed Bell.
