Deadly force

Gregory Andrew Putnik, a listed armed and dangerous felon, allegedly failed an attempted car-jacking then fled into a neighborhood, where he climbed up on a roof. The neighbor came out armed with a rifle and forced Putnik down from the house. When police arrived, Putnik was brawling with the next door neighbor. Putnik ran back into the first house and grabbed the rifle. He then began shooting at teenagers in the neighborhood. Putnik attempted to break a police cruiser window with the butt of the gun, but the wood stock shattered. Putnik pointed the broken rifle at police officers, who shot and killed him.
