Gerald Tremblay was shot and killed by Wilmington police officers when they responded to a report of shots fired around 7 p.m. When they arrived, police said, Tremblay came out of his home with multiple firearms and refused to comply with officer commands to lay down his weapons, and they shot and killed him.
