About 9:35 a.m., officers were looking for a fugitive. Officers were conducting surveillance when they saw a man approaching the apartment who matched the description of the person they were looking for. When officers approached, George Michael Mireles allegedly fired gunshots at the officers. Three officers shot and killed Mireles.
