Deputies tried to serve a warrant on Gary Pickett, who was wanted for third-degree sexual abuse. Pickett allegedly fled, leading officers on a high-speed chase that ended near Preston. According to police, Pickett pulled out a shotgun, and when deputies tried to negotiate with him, he took his own life.
