Suicide
Officer Fontenot, a 19-year HPD veteran, filed for divorce from his estranged wife. The next day, his fiancee Tammy Sanford broke off their engagement because she wanted children and he did not. Two days later, Officer Sanford shot her and shot himself. Both died.
