Around 1:42 a.m., police saw what they believed to be a stolen Kia Optima. Officers tried to stop the other when Gabrielle Menier fled at a high rate of speed. After a short pursuit, Menier lost control and struck a utility pole and then crashed into a building, causing the car to catch fire. Menier was killed, and her passenger was injured.
