Deadly force

A man flashed a gun at another man, who called police. Two officers responded. Freddy Gutierrez was identified as the man with the gun. The officers told Gutierrez to take his hands from his pockets. As he did so, he drew a revolver. Officers told him to drop it as he pointed it at them. Officer J. Medina shot Gutierrez in the chest and belly. He died at Ben Taub Hospital.
