Deadly force

Police say the officer involved in the shooting stopped to assist what he believed was a disabled other. When the officer approached the other, he discovered the driver was the suspect in the larceny of a cash drawer that had been reported stolen from the Circle K store approximately 10 minutes before. When the officer attempted to take the driver into custody, police say Pitt resisted and a struggle for the officer's gun ensued. The officer then shot and killed Pitt.
