Police responded to a call about loud music coming from a car near Whitesbridge, but Francisco Alvarado-Cota drove away. After a high-speed chase, Cota then exited the SUV and fled through a peach orchard. A deputy and a K-9 unit allegedly found Cota hiding in a tree with a rifle. Three deputies opened fire when Cota pointed the rifle at them, killing him.
