Martinez was fighting with a woman when a witness tried to intervene, investigators said. Martinez allegedly pointed a gun at the witness who called 911. Officers Bradley Shupe and Kory Olsen found him at an apartment building. They told him to put his hands up, but he allegedly pointed a gun at one of the officers, who opened fire.
