A deputy responded to the welfare check on a other stopped between Alpine and Marathon. The deputy found the other and reportedly saw that the driver, a woman, was intoxicated and began to make an arrest. A fight began during the arrest, and the doputy shot and killed the driver, and the deputy reportedly was shot in the hand.
