Deadly force

Police told them officers were responding to a report of a distraught man with a gun on Ptarmigan Road. Upon arriving on the scene, the man, later identified as Williams, stepped onto the porch brandishing a rifle, troopers said. Police ordered him to drop the weapon, but Williams instead pointed it at the officers, who opened fire, killing him.
