Deadly force
Police shot and killed Ernesto Garcia when he allegedly brandished a BB gun outside a gas station after a robbery. Thursday. According to police, Garcia was suspected in 25 gas station robberies on the North and Northwest Sides and several suburbs. Police said an officer shot Garcia after he wouldn't drop his BB gun. An autopsy determined that Garcia suffered eight gunshot wounds in the front and the back of his torso.
