Eric Williams was killed Saturday after he fled from state trooper Jeffrey Costa and flipped his car on Route 101. Costa attempted to stop Williams at around 3 p.m. in a 2007 dark blue Ford Crown Victoria for multiple violations. Williams allegedly didn't stop and continued eastbound at a high rate of speed until he lost control of the car between Exits 11 and 12. The car rolled over into the median and came to rest in the westbound lane. Williams was thrown from the car when it overturned and died at the scene.
