Officers went to a home in response to a report of a domestic dispute, police said. The alleged victim, the man's estranged girlfriend, got out safely, and some evacuations were ordered in the neighborhood. At one point, the man fired shots at police, who returned fire. No officers were hurt. Police found Eric Bogart dead inside the residence. An autopsy showed that he had been killed by police gunfire.
