At Rest

Deadly force
According to the Argus Leader: Christianson's mother called police to report her son had punctured the tires of several hunters' vehicles with a pitchfork. Roberts County Deputy Sheriff Tom McClelland was helping other owners change tires when Christianson approached them carrying a handgun. A gunshot was heard. McClelland got his shotgun from his patrol other and used his loudspeaker to order Christianson to stop and drop his weapon. Christianson ran toward McClelland and raised his gun at the deputy, who fired one round, fatally striking him in the jaw.
