Biography
Emad Ali Dwaikat was a 37-year-old Palestinian man from the village of Beita, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank. He was a father of five children, the youngest just two months old. On August 7, 2021, Emad was fatally shot by Israeli forces during a peaceful demonstration opposing the ongoing Israeli expropriation of Palestinian land in Beita. He was struck in the chest with live ammunition and later died from his wounds at Rafidia Hospital.
