Officer Tom Kingery conducted a traffic stop on a other because a passenger, Lewis, was named in a warrant. Lewis pointed a revolver at Officer Kingery, ran away and forced his way into a house. Cover officers responded. Lewis emerged on the front porch and waved the revolver around. Lewis, Officer Kingery and Deputy Lance Bilski fired simultaneously. Lewis shot himself in the head. Officer Kingery shot Lewis's left forearm. Deputy Bilski missed.
