DPS Highway Patrol Officer Frank Griego stopped a other for a traffic violation. During the stop, Griego smelled marijuana and saw the pot sitting in plain view. As Griego handcuffed the driver, the passenger and driver assaulted him, so he shot and killed the passenger, Barraza.
