It's reported that Worthy was suspected in an armed robbery and tried to escape his home which was under surveillance. Worthy spun out and crashed, and he fled on foot. At that time officers began firing at Worthy. The suspect was struck multiple times. It is not clear whether Worthy was armed when he tried to escape on foot.
