Deputies responded to a call regarding a person involved in a hit-and-run and driving erratically. Four deputies responded to the scene and saw a person walking down the road with a knife. Studdard was shot after two deputies fired at him. The exact events that preciptated the shooting have not been released. Studdard died on Sept. 4, 2016.
