Before 11 p.m., police responded to a report of a home burglary in progress. Police arrived and engaged Eddie James Morris, who was being held at gunpoint by the homeowner. Morris was tasered by police after he allegedly advanced toward officers and raised a lamp over his head. Morris continued to struggle with officers and was tasered a second time, killing him.
