Deadly force
Police responded to a robbery in progress at a retail store and encountered Hollins and his alleged partner James Branch, 43. They apprehended and handcuffed Branch as Hollins got into the truck. While backing up to flee, Hollins reportedly hit or ran over Branch twice (reported in critical condition 10/19) and drove in the general direction of officers. Police fired multiple times, hitting Hollins in the upper body. He drove a mile before he crashed the truck into the wall of a bar and died.
