Donyana Adnan Atiya al-Amour (2000 – August 5, 2022) was a 22-year-old Palestinian woman killed in an Israeli airstrike on her family home in Gaza. She was among 11 Palestinians killed that day in a rapid series of Israeli attacks targeting Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah. The strikes, which injured at least 55 people, mostly civilians, included the deaths of a 5-year-old girl, a 24-year-old man, and multiple families caught in the bombings. Donyana’s death, along with the other victims', highlighted the devastating civilian toll of Israel’s military operations in Gaza, drawing condemnation from human rights organizations.

Donyana Adnan Atiya al-Amour was born in 2000 in Gaza, where she lived her entire life under the hardships of the Israeli blockade and repeated military assaults. On August 5, 2022, at just 22 years old, she was killed when an Israeli artillery shell struck her family’s home in the afternoon, one of many attacks that day that left 11 Palestinians dead and 55 wounded.

The Israeli military launched dozens of airstrikes across Gaza in a matter of minutes, claiming to target resistance leaders but instead killing mostly civilians, including children, young adults, and elderly bystanders. Among the dead was 5-year-old Ala’ Qaddoum, who was playing outside when a missile hit near her home, and 24-year-old Yousef Qaddoum, both from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood.
