In a case of mistaken identity, officers responded to a shooting call thought Storey had a phone in his hand, but witnesses say his hands were empty, and he was running away. Storey was with his fiance filling a prescription. Storey shot was in the back of the neck when he was lying down. A court paid the family $750,000 for unreasonable force.
