Her friend was fleeing from the scene of his armed robbery of a Family Dollar store, with police in hot pursuit. There was a handgun in the car. The other crashed into a tree. Jackson died at the scene. It is unclear if she was aware of the handgun or had any role in the armed robbery. The driver was charged with second-degree murder.
