Deadly force

A trooper responded to a call for assistance by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office involving a shooting that had occurred at Club Aries. As the trooper approached the scene, he encountered two men running toward him. The trooper saw that one of the subjects had a gun. The man failed to comply with the trooper's commands to stop and drop the weapon. Police say he pointed the weapon at the trooper who shot and killed him.
