About 6:30 a.m., officers responded regarding a man making threats toward a baby in a homeless camp. Police said the man was holding the child tightly in his arms when they tried to negotiate with him. The man's actions toward the child reportedly intensified, and an officer shot and killed him. The baby was not reported to have been injured.
