Dennerek Dionne Perry was arrested for possessing a firearm and less than two ounces of marijuana. According to the Texas Custodial Deaths report, Perry was "booked by proxy" into the county jail at 10:35 and pronounced dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 11 a.m. His "custody date and time" on the TCD is 12:33 p.m. July 10, 2013.
