Decynthia Clements was pulled over by an Elgin police officer on I-90, about 12:35 a.m. but refused to exit her SUV. She allegedly displayed a knife as officers attempted to persuade her to leave the other. When they saw the interior of the SUV was on fire, they tried to pull her from the other. She was shot and killed by Lt. Christian Jensen.
