Police tracked several teens who were attending a Black Family Reunion on the suspicion that they tried to escape security by tossing guns over a fence and retrieving them. The officer was suspicious that Mullins had a weapon as he was clutching his right hand pocket. A struggle ensued and Mullins was shot.
