Police said Michael Paul Bibby, Dalton Wayne Cook and David Roy White were armed with rifles and forced their way into a residence and stole items from a resident. During the robbery, police said one person at the home was shot and wounded. Police said Bibby, Cook and White fled and were found near Liberty Elementary School, where a shootout with police took place. White died in the shootout. Bibby was injured. Bibby and Cook were charged with attempted murder and burglary. Five officers who shot their weapons were cleared of any wrongdoing.
