Lt. Brandon Franke responded to a report of a suicidal person at about 8:30 p.m., and learned David Jerome King was in a running car inside the closed garage. The garage door remote reportedly didn't work, but Franke was told there was an interior door to the garage and went inside. According to Franke, King entered the kitchen and asked "What are you doing in my house?" Franke drew his Taser and King reportedly said he had a gun. Police said Franke unsuccessfully fired his Taser. King then allegedly pointed his revolver at Franke, who shot King twice. King was pronounced dead at a hospital.
