Young Newmeyer, already with a criminal history and three open felony cases in which he was considered an adult, stole the keys of a black Dodge Ram pickup from a spa in the early morning and led police on a high-speed chase across four Florida counties. The pickup flipped when a county officer deliberately rammed it. The collision killed Newmeyer. Two other teen passengers were unhurt.
