Five Mansfield officers located Semenza's other immediately after a bank robbery. Semenza exited the car but kept his hand in his pocket, as if holding a weapon, and ignored police commands. After reaching into his other under the car seat for a black object he was fatally shot with several rounds. The object was a cell phone; Semenza had no weapon.
