An 11-hour standoff began at about 10:30 a.m., when officers went to arrest DaRon Raymond Gaylor Jr. in connection with recent homicides. At around 5 p.m., state troopers entered the home, and Gaylor allegedly opened fire. One trooper was hit, but suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The standoff ended when officers used construction equipment to remove the roof and found Gaylor's body upstairs.
