Three officers noticed Richardson leaving a bodega with a gun-shaped bulge in his pocket. Moving to detain him for questioning, Richardson trotted away and at one point turned toward officers with gun in hand. He was shot to death. Richardson was from Georgia and was on the FBI Most Wanted list.
