Deadly force
According to the Castillo family, police entered their residence unannounced early in the morning. Ashley Castillo screamed for help. Her brother, Daniel, responded. Sergeant Don Falks shot Daniel fatally in the face. According to Sergeant Falks, Daniel, a suspected drug dealer, ambushed him with a knife during the surprise raid. Daniel Castillo, who had recently enlisted in the army, had no criminal record. Sergeant Falks had served WPD for six years.
