At 3:30 a.m., the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office was contacted in reference to a suspicious person on a motorcycle at the boat launch on Poole's Bluff Road, police said. Shortly after a deputy arrived, a fight broke out. Two Bogalusa officers arrived and saw Young struggling with the deputy. Police shot and killed Young.
