Damian Swarptue, 26, and Lacurtis Floyd, 22, were riding in a car driven by Kevin M. Allen when Allen evaded a roadblock for a driver's license check. A high-speed police chase ensued in which a police cruiser forced Allen's car of the road, killing Swarptue and Ford. Allen was charged with two counts of manslaughter, and families of the victims have filed a civil suit against Allen and the police.
