Dakota Lee Chlarson was wanted for an armed robbery in Idaho. U.S. Marshals discovered he was staying at a motel in Dickinson North Dakota. Backed by local police, officers entered Chlarson's room and a standoff ensued. Officers tasered Chlarson multiple times and used rubber pellets, to no effect. Chlarson grabbed a pair of scissors and advanced upon officers, who shot and killed him.
