Local police approached Francisco Peralta's pickup truck in the parking lot of a Burlington Coat Factory. He fled, peeling out, prompting a three-minute chase which ended when he lost control on an interstate exit and crashed. The crash killed him, passenger Cindy Cordero, and passenger Joseph Rodriguez. A fourth passenger sustained critical injuries.
