Less-than-lethal force

McKinnis was riding as a passenger when his girlfriend's car was pulled over. Police discovered he had a warrant, and McKinnis attempted to flee on foot . Several officers grabbed McKinnis and a struggle ensued, during which McKinnis complained he couldn't breathe. When officers tried to get McKinnis up, they discovered he was unresponsive. Medical examiner said position of body with hands cuffed behind led to cardiac arrest. Two civil suits pending.
