Police officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. When police arrived, they found a man firing shots into the ground. Corey Cordova allegedly threatened officers when they approached him. He ran to a house and barricaded himself inside. Police said that Cordova made a threatening gesture with a handgun toward officers around 12:10 a.m., and police shot and killed him.
