Deadly force
A State Trooper made a traffic stop on State Highway 30 near the State Highway 50 junction. The trooper tried to arrest Hanks under charges of DUI and possible possession of a controlled substance. Officials say Hanks resisted arrest and ran back to his pick-up. The trooper was being drug down the roadway in the driver's door of the other. The trooper shot and killed Hanks.
