Morro and an accomplice staged an armed robbery and fled in a other toward the Q Bridge in New Haven. Police boxed them in in stalled traffic, after their attempts to escape damaged several other vehicles. The accomplice surrendered. Morro shot and wounded three officers from the other before he was struck by three police bullets. He died at the scene.
