Chauncey Dion Wallace allegedly shot and wounded a Detroit narcotics officer during a traffic stop, carjacked a other, fled to the Glenwood Apartments in Clinton Township, and barricaded himself inside an apartment for 12 hours in a standoff with police. Wallace was reportedly found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head just after noon.
