Police stopped a other about 1 a.m. Officers found three people, including Charles Smith Jr., in the other. Officers searched Smith, Jr. and found he was carrying a gun, police said. A fight started, and Smith allegedly fired at least one shot at the officers, which resulted in the officers shooting and killing Smith.
